NEW YORK, Feb. 1 — Critical Media Inc., developer of end-to-end digital video solutions that capture, monetize, distribute and syndicate content online, today announced a partnership with AlwaysOn, the editorial and conference network focused on the technology markets. AlwaysOn will use Critical Media’s Syndicaster as the video platform to generate and distribute online clips from the organization’s conferences starting with OnMedia NYC 2010 taking place February 1-3.
The collaboration launches the Syndicaster beta for web feeds and conferences. This new version of Syndicaster enables users to manage live video feeds, create clips remotely with robust editing functionality, add meta-tags, generate transcripts from voice to text, and publish and distribute video content online. The player can be private labeled with ad serving capabilities.
For OnMedia NYC 2010, AlwaysOn will use Syndicaster to:
- Create clips from live video streams of conference panels and speeches to be posted on the AlwaysOn website
- Instantly issue video clips to multiple websites and distribution platforms including YouTube and Brightcove
- Add conference video clips to ClipSyndicate, a video repository of licensed video content available to vertical publishers for redistribution
- Leverage Syndicaster’s aggregator feature to allow CEO’s and entrepreneurs to upload videos right from the AlwaysOn website to be reviewed by the editorial staff, approve and immediately publish
“The AlwaysOn conferences produce extremely valuable, timely content that is worth leveraging and offering to a larger audience,” said Sean Morgan, CEO of Critical Media Inc. “During upcoming events, AlwaysOn will produce discrete video segments mid-panel and publish them via Syndicaster, placing them into syndication. This provides even more value to the event speakers, sponsors and supporters. It will also enable the ClipSyndicate community to use these proprietary clips on their own sites within moments of them going live.”
“Critical Media’s Syndicaster platform allows us to share our conference with a broader audience as it happens,” said Tony Perkins, Founder and Editor of AlwaysOn Network, LLC. “Breaking news and memorable sound bites can quickly be made public and viral, increasing the impact of our events.”
